We feel nothing but goodwill and gratitude toward Interstate, David Hughes, and every member of that work crew. As it turned out, every claim made by David Hughes came to fruition. After this experience, my wife and I will never turn to any other roofing company for any level of needed support.
I recommend this company. Steve Walker worked with us and went out of his way to fulfill our requests and pay attention to details and give good customer service. He even took time out of his own day off to take care of us. Steve also dealt with the subcontractors to do the gutters and carport . That took a long time and he patiently worked through it for us . The roofing job itself was very good. They laid tarps down all around the house and after the job was done and the crew was gone I have only picked up a handful of nails which is amazing given how many nails go flying when the old roof is removed, and they got the roof done in one day.
Interstate replaced the roof on our commercial building. The roof looks very good and I think the workmanship is fine. My only complaint is the lack of communication during the job. Kevin Keller installed the flashing and gutters and his work is top notch. He kept me informed during the entire process of his part of this re-roof. I understand he is also in sales so I highly recommend that he be involved in the entire job. Good guy with great workmanship and attention to detail.
Though our work got off to a rough start with the first guy from Interstate, once we called and explained our troubles Interstate came through strong and assigned Wiley to us. Our roof had developed a leak and rain was coming in - Wiley and his team were at the house covering the leak within 4 hours of us calling - and finished the cover in the rain! Wiley was very thorough and ensured we were kept aware of his progress. He had our new roof up within 2 weeks - not a small feat after a Cheyenne hail storm! He even corrected issues found with previous work done to the roof. We would recommend Interstate - Wiley especially - highly.
Throughout both days of removing the old roof and installing the new one, I was up and down off the roof watching what was happening and how it was happening. The efficiency of the Interstate roofers was impressive. They worked like a finetuned machine, always moving, always supporting one another when necessary, and yet demonstrating that each man in his own right was a professional roofer. When the day was over I felt in awe of their skills, their work ethic, and even the playful demeanor between members of the crew. When the roof, the skylight, the vents, the chimney, the gutters, and the cleanup were completed, we felt grateful that we had chosen Interstate to replace our roof. As a retired school teacher, I would give the company an A+.
Our sales representative was David Hughes, a down to earth person who was patient with us in regard to answering questions and had a keen understanding of roofing materials, techniques, and the specifics about what we could expect from his company. After looking at the paint colors on our freshly painted house, David recommended a darker roof to compliment the house. While skeptical at first, David’s recommendation proved to be right. On the day of completion, neighbors walked by and complimented us on our choice of colors saying that the roof complimented the house and the house complimented the roof. We agreed, and are glad we listened to David’s suggestion.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The skills of the roofers is all over the place! Some of my neighbors have had them do a fantastic job on their roof, we were not so lucky! They use contract workers so they don't ultimately know the skill level of the ones they are sending out to do your roof. At first it seemed like the job was acceptable, not amazing or anything, but within 6 months of them banging around we had leaking around our fireplace (thankfully they sort of fixed that issue). When they went to install the roof the workers threw materials all over the roof and stomped all over, making things rattle so badly that one of the light fixtures from the ceiling became loosened to the point that I had to get a ladder to re-tighten everything so it wouldn't fall or break from their never ending stomping and banging. They were so rough with the installation around the fireplace that we still are dealing with bits of stone falling down from small gaps between the moulding and the fireplace where it meets the ceiling. Besides that, since they were here we've had issues with electrical as some of our lights haven't worked properly since they were here. Every time it rains half of our lights won't come on and I'm just waiting for the roof to start leaking again. It's been past the 6 months mark, the ones we worked with have refused to come back and check to see what they did. They butchered our roof and I regret going through them as I now an fearful that I am in a worse position with regard to snow and hail than before they showed up. Thanks Interstate roofing, for such a poor job and only having a 6 month window after you contract out the installation to avoid any possibility that someone could ensure quality work from you if one of your contractors happens to suck. I wish I had the money to have my home fixed properly, now I am stuck with a very disheartening roof and Interstate has my cash lining their ample pockets.
