We recently had bad hail storm at our house. The day after I called Advanced Exteriors and they had someone on my roof checking it out that same day! They also came out on the day my insurance adjuster came out to help go through everything with him, and making sure the adjuster didn't miss any damages. Then they sat down with my fiancé and I and talked with us through what we wanted for our replacement.
Overall, we are very happy with the support we have been given by Advanced Exteriors, and would gladly recommend them to anyone in the future!
We thought we had chosen a trustworthy partner in our restoration work -- -- but we've been so disappointed! When we asked questions about timeframes, we got scapegoating on other parties. When we asked questions about the work itself, we got excuses. The information between employees differs, is murky at best and changes! Workmanship issues, home damage, permit issues and delays. IF you are lucky enough to get an AE employee on the phone (a terrible journey past the front desk attendants), then you're in for a *real treat.* This firm? -- the polar opposite of a job well done, or at least one they can stand by. Stay far away from this vendor!
They did scratch our gutter in one spot and they pointed it out to us, gave money off our bill and we're quick and prompt about fixing our problem.
By the end of our installation, I am happy with the way our roof looks and works. I am happy with the cleanup and the overall way they handle their company.
Biggest Scammers in the Business. To many issues to note. Took longer than stated. The company used third party installers and cheap material on all of my projects. Broke a window, didn't clean it up. Just picked up the big pieces. Entire project was a nightmare. STAY AWAY!!!!
Advanced Exteriors not only did a really nice job on our roof, vents, and gutters, but they also helped us with the other claims on our insurance and helped us find good contractors to do the sheet rock damages inside the house, re-staining the fence and house, and even helping with advise on the personal claims.
The other item to note is that when I called the company or project manager they were not very responsive. When I did get a response there seemed to be quite a bit of confusion on why people were not showing up to complete the job. The standard answer seemed to be that their employees were confused and went to work on the wrong house.
The issues I have with advanced exteriors is when they completed the roof to our shed, the only installed half the osb that was in our contract. They said they will still hold up the warranty. They did not offer to redo it properly. They had to come back three times before my gutters we're done properly and I'm still not completely satifisfied with the gutter holders installed. Come to find out, they are not manufactured and they were kind enough to fabricate them for us.
From start to finish it took 3 months to get Advanced Exteriors to complete the job they started. They would commit to a day to show up to continue to work and would not show up. I believe this happened on 24 separate occasions. Since their work on the house, I have had to fix three of the gutters that they put up, because they have fallen off the house. They also did some work on replacing the cover on the deck and they put up warped wood. They originally stated that they would be using a material that would closely match the color of the house, which of course they did not. On top of the warped wood, they never painted the wood to match the house. However, the shingles that they put on the roof of the house seem to be holding up and we have not had any leaks.
Because we got our request into AE and my insurance company in a good time, they had our roof replaced within a few weeks, which for us was a huge deal because we also have a pool heating system on the back end of the roof, and could not replace that system and start heating the house until the roof was replaced. I've seem many reviews complain about timeliness, but in storms like this you are competing with a hundred thousand plus people also wanting/needing a new roof, so the quicker you can get things moving with your roofing company and the insurance company the less likely you will be one of those whining about it taking months to replace.
Mike was always kind, professional and answered our questions quickly and honestly. The group who put on our roof worked quickly, we're very kind, cleaned up well and made our roof look amazing. Thanks everyone for your hard work.
