I feel sorry for the people working there. They are trying hard with limited resources. The place should be torn down and rebuilt. Wallpaper coming off the walls, paint coming off the toilet seats, vinyl base molding coming off the walls. Do i need to continue.... United airlines put us up there. I promise you they would not put their flight attendants there. But for their customers, they check the box.
At check in the clerk seemed more interested in talking with an employee friend than checking us in. The hotel is very dated, dark, and tries to cover the musty scent with strong air freshener. The room was dirty, and the furniture was in need of replacement. We stayed three nights and only had maid service once, but it did not appear even then anything was cleaned. I had to finish making the bed even. The pillows had been thrown on a chair. The room is very dark. Our card keys stopped working and I had to track down a maid to let us in to the room. Parking is a nightmare! Literally the only parking is right in front of the motel. Would not recommend this hotel.
Called in advance to ask if we could check in early. I was told yes it would be no problem to check in at 1 or 2 instead of 3. We drove 13 hours with 2 kids and a baby and were told that our room still was not ready due to short staff. When we arrived at 1:50. Some of the house keepers were outside smoking a cigarette as we sit and wait for our room to be finished.
My girlfriend and I spent a night here while on our way to the mountains. The common areas were clean and in good condition, our room was clean and spacious, and the complimentary breakfast was wonderful! The only negative was that our mattress was worn and fairly sunken in the middle. While the bed wasn't very comfortable, our overall experience here was. I would recommend.
Stayed here for a few nights last summer on last resort when our other hotel over booked our room. We were immediately turned off when they forced us to sit in the lobby for 2 hours after a 14 hour drive because they wouldn't allow early check in. The rooms appear decent but our TV was propped against the wall on the dresser and no channels came through. We called the front desk and they basically told us there was nothing they could do. When we called front desk the second night to see what was good to eat in the area, they rudely replied with "look it up on Google". The pool area was sort of run down and there were things floating around including a used bandaid. When we were checking out we asked if we could speak to a manager so we could explain our issues we had with our stay, the lady front desk looked at us blankly and said, "right now?". We then waited there for 15 minutes. FIFTEEN minutes. no manager showed. we left. A week later we were charged $250 for smoking in the room. The one smoker in our room only smoked in the designated areas OUTSIDE of the hotel. This was my first visit to Colorado and it really sucked that we dreaded having to go back to the hotel every night.
