Updated review as of Oct 1, 2017.My original review was only two stars. I’ve upgraded it because of the exceptional service I have received once I communicated to DIY my displeasure. When I found DIY I was ecstatic. My wife and I had designed a custom-built table, coffee table, and benches from wood over 100 years old. We needed bases for four pieces. We had looked everywhere online and in Denver. Then DIY came into view and their designs and pricing was consistent and better than other fabricators we found online. Plus, when I spoke with Donnie, he had a good knowledge of how to fabricate a table base for our beautiful dining table and knew industry std. heights for benches, coffee tables and widths for seating. Part of what goes with the territory. Everything seemed great and our fabricating was scheduled for 2-3 weeks out. Then, I experienced some communication delays and issues when I first sent an email on Aug 11th to communicate a design change. After we finally connected I learned the fabricating hadn't begun and Donnie asked that I get in touch with the DIY fabricator, Ernie, who was about to begin work. I called and left a msg on the 6th, the 8th, then on the 11th I leave another msg stating I am coming to the shop. Ernie and I meet to build a design for our pieces. Once we agreed on the design, Donnie communicated clearly on a weekly basis the status of our build. Overall it took longer than expected but, DIY was excellent at making what we requested and keeping me abreast of the status even while they went through a shop move. Because of delays they ended up going above and beyond and delivered our bases and even corrected a small issue. I would recommend having DIY make your furniture. I will be using them in the future and referring others.
