I have had several interactions with dispatchers, different officers, a technician/investigator and a detective working from Sunnyside. They were quite responsive and treated me very well. They interceded more than once in a difficult, escalating situation and were fair and effective. I'm glad they are there.
These officers have no respect for public safety. They speed westbound down 46th Ave from Pecos (a small residential road with street parking on both sides and a stop sign) to Federal at 100mph+ .. what warrants that, I don't know, but from the rest of the reviews posted here - they probably aren't in any hurry to get to real emergencies.
They've been very responsive to a couple issues that came up. Their community outreach team is great.
Crooked cops apparently you phone is more important that your personhood, my wife was sexually harrased on the bus and the stupid denver pencil pushing desk jockey who calls himself a peace officer decided it was ok to touch my wife after the fact telling him of sexual harassment.. Way to go pick and choose what to serve and protect hopefully I don't get pulled over to just be racially profiled as I'm sure that's what wpuld happen..
Denver is a police state. It's scary to walk the streets here out of fear for one's own safety. The safety that the police should be working to establish. Are you surprised when citizens react to you in a way that seems defensive? Maybe because they're TERRIFIED you're going to kill them.
