We used two ABF U-Pack Pup Trailers to move from Wyoming to North Carolina. We got movers to load/unload the trailers. This is the answer for moving! The costs were the best when considering a freight line and renting a truck and doing it yourself. I have moved with pods, Penske/U-Haul, and now ABF U-Pack and I would definitely recommend that you check with U-Pack and see if they are right for you. All the individuals that I spoke with were outstanding and extremely helpful!
I called around and got price quotes, pick up scheduling and delivery windows. U-Pack was the best all around and their service did not disappoint. They were wonderful to work with, always courteous and prompt. Their cubes looked small when arrived but I was blown away at how much we were able to ship (with room to spare). I was sending household furniture to my son from Denver to Poughkeepsie and the experience was exceptional. I highly recommend this company, as they are so much better all around than their better known competition. Thank you U-Pack, you are a fantastic business model!
Long distance moving is not easy, specially when you do it alone & for the first time. Had a good experience talking to a couple of your reps, however the last one felt the need to act like he was doing me a favor. Kept interrupting, pushing for my credit card and when he realized I wouldn't commit as I still had unanswered questions, was borderline rude, disinterested and was eager to hang up. Didn't really answer my questions clearly either. That has made me take my business elsewhere. Cheap option, I'd assume yes. Having to deal with jerks as a side benefit, no thanks.
We lived in an area where storage cubes could not be delivered. Instead, we were able to load a smaller U-Haul truck at our home; we then delivered our load to the transit center, at our convenience. Although we had to load our belongings, we were assured that our items were packed safely. We were very pleased with this flexibility. Great option for moving.
Moved from Colorado to Maryland. The process was easy, the move was smooth. The person dropping off the pod gave excellent instructions on how to pack so none of our fragile things were broken. The person dropping off the pod was also pleasant. Customer service is easy to get a hold of and they are really flexible. I would highly recommend this company.
