We went to one of the children reading events because it sounded like a hoot with families, reading, play area, and snacks. It ended up just being myself and one other parent and the snacks were behind the librarian and she did not offer any. Which would have been fine besides the whole point that I didn't bring any because I thought we were all going together and eat snacks and read books.
Good selection of books, great location and layout. Decent selection of used books. I love walking around here looking for new books to purchase. The other positive about this place is that you can look up books in their catalog online to see of they have them already. I like to buy local so I come here instead of Barnes and Noble. Nice cafe too but last few times the espresso was a little bleh, but the tea selection is very good. The vegan chocolate chip cookies are phenomenal so I stop in here to see if they have them, but they don't always unfortunately.
This is one of my favorite TC. While location makes parking only mildly challenging, the actual experience of TC makes you feel as though you're lost in another time, and space. The atmosphere is mostly quiet, and seating in available in hide-away corners of the room. I love going here, especially on rainy days because it is easy to experience that warm embrace of your favorite book (amidst other people being around) while still feeling like you're the only one there. Additionally, there is a coffee shop right upon entering in which only enhances that moody, library feel.
