Another fun little secret is the gnome hunt. There are little gnomes hidden in exhibits. If you ask I'm sure someone there will have a cheat sheet.
Really if you're in Denver, this is a must-see.
This is the second year I've chaperoned this field trip. There's never enough time in a day to see it all. The Health part was awesome! The kids ran and rode bikes and danced while a skeleton on the screen mimicked their every move. Great way to wear them out!
This is a fun museum. Today I was chaperoning a school field trip. The most important thing to know for this is to park in front of the IMAX. The field trips enter through the back. You're welcome.
All in all, it's OK. I love going there personally, but the prices are way too high.
Very nice Museum. Large with plenty of space for multiple large exhibits. I really like the gemstone exhibit they had while we visited. Also had a Viking and Egyptology exhibit while we were there. There were lots of dinosaur skeletons, more than I've seen in any other museum. The place was clean and spacious, and I never felt cramped or crowded. Definitely worth a visit because there is so much history to see any time you visit.
It is fun when I visit, I seek out all the gnomes and try to find easter eggs. It is a good experience for me and my family. Too bad there are so many people there, free day or not.
Went for a free night with artist set up, some very nice exibits for human body, space exploration, wildlife, dinosaurs, and more. A great place to take kids with areas for them to play and learn about different aspects of science. Because it has a nice selection of topics to explore, it can help broaden the mind to get a better idea of what kinds of things might interest someone.
A fantastic place at a good price, you may have to spring for more if you are interested in the planetarium, a special exhibit, or an IMAX film, but entry itself is $14. Which isn’t all that bad when I believe you’ll always get more out of this place than a trip to the movies for which a ticket is similarly priced.
The integration with the arts and seeing local artist definitely made the night even more fun.
Very good atmosphere, the high floors make me feel safe and at home. The science and biography in this place is outstanding. It makes me happy when museums like this actually know what they're talking about. Plus, they have exhibits that I honestly prefer.
Sadly, the price is way too high and you almost need money for everything to be able to do anything. I wish it had more freedom for people who enter on free days or pay only the entrance fee.
This museum is simply packed with opportunities to offer. They have various lecturers monthly speaking about topics or various different types and are always slotted for nationally touring exhibits. And when you visit be sure to check out the Hall of Life, easily one of the best exhibits I’ve visited in my lifetime.
