I love everything there, as does my son. We’ve bought memberships for the last three years. They’ve added quite a few cool new things. They seem to keep up on creating new experiences. But, they get busy. They get super crowded. And things get broken or damaged. We don’t ever get to see each exhibit on every trip, mainly because we can spend so much time in each area. Overall, it’s great. It would be nice if they offered more events like their members mornings where entry is limited to a certain number of people for a period of time. It’s really great that they don’t ever turn people away, but it can make for some anxiety inducing crowded situations. And I’ve seen plenty of times where parents weren’t actually monitoring their kids closely enough.
Great place for kids! Many areas to play for various age groups. There is outdoor area that has some water (river like), sand box, zip line! Our two year old loved the zip line! Plenty of stuff indoors: vet clinic, firetruck, climbing area, area for tiny babies to crawl, bubbles making area, build your own stuff with real instruments (hammer, saw, screwdriver, etc.), play with balls, water, art studio, etc. We never run out of things to do there! Go for 3 hours at least if coming for the first time.
Only negative is short hours on the weekend. Wish they we open till 6.
AWESOME! I have been to a ton of kid's museums, and this is my new fave. Lets kids do daring things in a safe way, like climbing to the top of the building and using hammers/nails. Can't wait to return!
There is a small cafe inside, breastfeeding area, a quiet room if kids get overwhelmed. Also there is a playground right outside the museum (free) that is great for kids right after the museum closes. Parking is free, just mention you are going to children's museum when passing by the parking attendant.
We love the Denver Children's Museum! There are many different exhibit areas as well as an outdoor play area. The inside exhibits include a bubble room, kinetic energy area, recycle area where kids can make crafts with recycled materials, a store/kitchen area, underground area where kids can explore under ground like a worm, and many more. Outdoor activities include a sand pit, a river that kids can cool off in, a zip line and outdoor seating for picnics. They offer cooking and art classes as well as story time. The staff are all amazing and they keep the museum very clean. You can bring your own picnic lunch or there is a small marketplace where healthy snacks can be purchased. This is a very popular place for families so parking fills up fast. I recommend going as early as possible.
I love taking my little boy here! He has so much fun every time. We have been coming since he was about 8 months old and there is a great playroom for children under 3 in the first floor. I'm sure he will love the rest of the musuem when he is older.
