This is one of the most expensive basic liquor stores in Denver. Their selection of beer and wine is not great, but it's also not a big liquor store. Liquor selection is fine. The location is incredibly convenient for me, so I end up going anyway. About half of my visits involve me watching the workers either yell at or just be generally rude to customers.
Absolutely the worst prices in Denver. With a city high in living expenses already, this shop is more than just taking advantage. Don't go here and hopefully free market does its job .
Now that King Soopers has opened across the street, Skye Liquors has stopped selling snacks and other small food items to focus on alcoholic beverages. They have expanded their wine and liquor selection greatly, and sell beer from quite a few local breweries. Very popular spot for the growing number of young professionals living in the area. Prices aren't as low as liquor stores slightly outside the downtown area, but I don't feel like I'm being ripped off either. Overall a good place to grab a pack of beer, or bottle of wine/liquor.
Wow I just read all the reviews, it's too bad they're the only liquor store in the neighborhood, or they'd be out of business quick.
Its close by my place if I'm on foot, has a decent selection of alcohol and has snacks. A little pricey on some stuff but the people there are really nice...
