The area immediately around the store could be better, if homeless people make you uncomfortable or scare you go somewhere else. The liquor store in this lot is a favorite of the local homeless population. Lots of drunk homeless people asking people for money for "food" when they just want another cheap tall boy from the liquor store.
Customer service is horrible, not adequately staffed, staff is very rude, and never have prices posted in fruits. King Soopers has better special and prices are cheaper too. Made an online order, it was delivered incomplete. Items they claim to not have in stock; however, I live a block away. I decided to see how lazy the staff was so I made a trip to the store. Found four of the five items on the shelf. Not impressed and will no longer shop at this store or any Safeway.
Update: tried again, still long lines due to lack of staff, Amazon Prime Fresh now has my business until they build another grocery store for this neighborhood. I encourage corporate to take a serious look I to this issue. I refuse to wait over 30 mins in line for 2-3 items. Not worth it.
Nice store, well stocked, quality products, and a friendly well informed competent staff. Lots of high end or top dollar products also. The price reflects the products so if you're a meat and potatoes guy like myself you should probably consider shopping elsewhere.
The store itself isn't bad, I'd give it 4 stars if they did a better job stocking the bags and ties in the produce section. Good selection and reasonable prices.
The lines are always so long. Understaffed. No cashiers when lines are reaching the back of the store. I'm standing in the deli waiting for the checkout. This is not the 1st time either.
Occasionally you'll see police here dealing with some issue with the homeless people, you'll get asked for money, last week I saw a used syringe in the parking lot among the rest of the garbage. There is a reason nearby residents jokingly call this the "unsafeway", no its not actually unsafe but it's definitely rough around the edges.
Literally the worst grocery store I've ever set foot in. They commonly run out of standard items like chili powder, tortilla chips, and half & half. The pharmacy also just ignored an urgent blood pressure prescription for a loved one for over 4 hours because they "thought that it may have been called in on accident". Go anywhere else.
