Just want to say thank you to Dr. Jesse, Dr. Rebecca and the staff for working so hard to relieve the stress and anxiety of the children whom they treat. You guys do a great job!
Everything from start to finish was an amazing experience! My son had fun before and after his appointment while in the waiting room and the whole staff was so sweet to him. This is the most positive experience we've had and I only wish Dr. Witkoff could be our pediatrician as well! Highly recommend this facility and the amazing staff!
Our little boy was 3 1/2 when he went to A Wild Smile for his first dentist visit. It was easy and painless, and he had fun. However, that's also when Dr. Jesse found in during an examination that our son had a cavity in one of his big molars and it would require sedation. Fast-forward a few weeks, and I brought our son back for the procedure. He did OK -- it wasn't pleasant for him, but no fault of Dr. Jesse or his staff. Our son was just scared of the drill. Dr. Jesse and his assistant played a movie for our son on the flat-screen monitor on the ceiling, gave him sunglasses to protect his eyes from the light and did everything possible to keep him calm and comfortable. Some kids just don't respond well to the sedation.
I wish they could be my dentist. Staff are friendly and accomodating. They are all good with kids, especially kids with special needs. Office is decorated like a jungle with plushy snakes hanging from vines, my boy thought it was a lot of fun. He always wants to know when he gets to come back.
My son has been complaining of a toothache, off and on, for about 2 weeks now. We were in the market for a new pediatric dentist to replace our previous one, so I asked a neighbor who they use as their kids' dentist - they recommended Dr Jesse. My husband took my son to see Dr Jesse today for the first time and said our son started to have a meltdown because of an experience with previous dental work. My husband was so impressed with how quickly Dr Jesse gained control of the situation and my son's trust. This is a big deal, obviously, for us as our son has anxiety issues. He is very smart and intuitively knows the world is a big place that he knows very little about it (he's six), so it scares him when something is happening that he doesn't understand. He instantly becomes emotional and as first time parents you don't always have the right words. It was so refreshing to hear that Dr Jesse knew exactly what to say to get our son calmed down enough to continue - that was huge for both me and my husband! This chairside manner was exactly what we were missing in the previous dentist. So thankful for our neighbor's suggestion and so thankful for Dr Jesse!
We come there from far away, even though there is a dentist closer to our house.
A few weeks later, I brought my son back for a follow-up visit, including a teeth cleaning. This is where A Wild Smile shines. They give every child a passport with their name on it and they get to visit different stations, just like adults (teeth cleaning, dentist exam), where they get actual passport stamps. This made my son feel so important, because he knows that his Dada has a passport, too. The rest of the day, he went around telling people that he got his passport stamped!
My kids love going to Dr. Jesse. Everyone are so nice and smiling. The jungle is awesome and lots of toys to play while waiting.
