Awesome area with so much going on. Tons to do with kids, or any age group. The zoo was fantastic and we found a great ice cream place nearby easily.
This is a beautiful park with good views of the capital, supreme court building, and other taller buildings in town. The only reason this doesn't take home five stars in my book is that there is a pretty large homeless population that does beg for change. They will walk up to you in the park and ask for money, and you will pass so many that you might get tired of giving out money or saying no. Just an FYI, but other than that, the park is really nice for an inner city park.
Eclectic crowd. This is a great park. Some of the things that set it apart from other parks are the large flat grass areas that are great for games and picnics, the proximity to The Denver Zoo and The Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and the beautiful large trees. The downfall is parking. Any event in this area makes parking a struggle. It is primarily street parking with a small lot on the North side near the ball fields.
This park has a great view of downtown, and is adjacent to the Science & Nature Museum. There is a water feature to play in, and lots of room to run. I feel as though we haven't seen all of this park, but we're usually primarily there for the museum.
Best park in Denver, I mean, Its the city park. What do you expect other than neat, soft grass and friendly people playing with their dogs. Its a great experience. A must do if you're visiting Denver.
